Giacomo Bruni (贾客暮) was born in Perugia, Italy. In 2019, he was awarded his PhD in Theory of Art and Literature from Jinan University, Guangzhou. In 2024, he completed his graduate studies in Chinese Painting at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, majoring in the Theory and Practice of Shanshui painting (山水画). He currently works as a Lecturer at the College of Fine Arts, Huaqiao University, China. His artworks have been exhibited in numerous cities across China and Europe. In early 2020 he founded Shanshui Projects [http://www.shanshuiprojects.net/], an initiative dedicated to advancing traditional and contemporary Chinese painting via a journal, exhibitions, conferences and practical workshops.
